DESMIN TAYLOR

Born and raised in Chester, Virginia, Desmin found his love of dance later in life at the age of 18. After attending college and earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science, he decided that he would make dance a major part of his life and career. A majority of his dance training comes from attending numerous workshops throughout the DMV and North Carolina for 2 years where he was exposed to many different styles of dance including modern, contemporary, breaking, housing, free-styling, and more.

Desmin trained and performed with Blank Canvas, a college hip hop crew at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has also performed with Pace Setters Dance Crew at the 2015 World of Dance exhibition in New Jersey. Desmin has taught several hip hop workshops as well as being one of the instructors for National Dance Day at Dogtown Dance Theatre in Richmond.

Currently, he teaches and hip hop and contemporary around the Richmond area and enjoys sharing his passion of choreography and movement. Desmin continues to seek training, teaching, and performance opportunities throughout Virginia and is more than eager to see what lies ahead.
