GINGER GROGAN

Not only is Ginger proficient at teaching Ballet but has evolved into a most creative asset at TDC. This creativity shows itself in her great energy and excitement as our performances are produced. Ginger received her early training while at the Ballet Centre of Charlottesville. From there, she attended the School of the Washington Ballet; and attended and graduated from the Professional Division of the School of Cleveland-San Jose Ballet where she studied under Alexander Bondarenko, ballet master of the Bolshoi Ballet. She continued her training at Texas Christian University as a ballet and modern dance major where she had the privilege of working with Fernando Bujones, world-renowned principal at ABT. Upon transferring to the University of North Carolina, she continued to take ballet at both UNC and Duke University from former principal dancers of the Joffrey Ballet.

After graduating from UNC, Ginger worked as a retail buyer and pedorthic assistant for New Balance, Virginia, where she worked closely with orthopedists on proper foot fitting and health. She has worked with The Dance Company since 2010, and not only will you see her teaching or helping in the front office, but also designing and building sets and props along with the assistance of her two children, Andrew and Meleana.
